‘Hidden’ might be considered a misnomer when describing Kamogawa. For many residents of Japan, the name of this town in the south-eastern corner of Chiba Prefecture is synonymous with ‘Sea World’, the marine-themed amusement park that is located on its beach front and that has been attracting crowds since 1970.
Visitors who have time to explore Kamogawa can enjoy ancient temples, dramatic terrain, fabulous views and charming craft industries.
