EHIME PREFECTURE

Ehime covers the northwestern area of Shikoku, and dozens of small islands in the Seto Inland Sea. The capital, Matsuyama, is a popular destination, thanks to its well-preserved historical sites. Matsuyama is a good base for exploring other areas, such as the tranquil countryside of Kumakogen, and the Shimanami Kaido island-hopping route, that provides astounding views of the surrounding islets - great for cyclists.
