KATSUYAMA勝山市
Nestled in the valley basin of northeastern Fukui Prefecture, Katsuyama town’s recent history is entwined with its local textile production, but in prehistoric times the area was the stomping ground for a diversity of dinosaurs.
Katsuyama is now home to a culturally rich town centre, and a large ski resort with three mountain parks, hot springs, and various activities taking place in and out of the ski season.
