TOTTORI PREFECTURE

The coastal prefecture of Tottori has much to recommend it, from the unique sand dunes of Tottori Sakyu, through to the panoramic views from the Tottori Castle ruins, and on to the celebrated cherry trees of Kyusho Park. The spectacular cliff-face shrine of Sanbutsuji on Mount Mitoku in Misasa is well worth the hike, and the seaside and culture of the tranquil town of Sakaiminato provide a serene destination.
